The marketing site does not run analytics and does not set advertising cookies. It does not ask you to create an account. If a future version adds analytics, this notice has to be updated first.

Email you send us

If you email support@ownchecks.com, we receive the address you wrote from and the message you sent, and we use it to reply.

Purchases

Checkout is handled by Stripe. This site creates the checkout session and does not receive your full card number. Stripe processes the card and can email a receipt. We show the license key on the confirmation page and email it from support@ownchecks.com. Stripe has its own privacy notice, which applies to the payment.

The desktop app

Your checks, payees and register stay on your PC. Nothing is uploaded. Your logo and signature stay on that computer too. There is no cloud account. Backup and restore stay on your PC. You choose where the backup file goes. It needs the internet only to download it and to activate your key once. Your check data never leaves your PC. Activating a key sends only that key and a random install ID. Windows 10 or 11 (64-bit). Internet is needed to download and activate once.

What we do not do

We do not sell personal information. We do not use check data to advertise. The software does not move money and does not process payments.

Children
